Matthew Lovell
Head of Highways Electrical
With a career spanning 27 years in street lighting and highways electrical services, Matthew Lovell brings extensive operational and leadership experience gained from progressing through the industry from frontline delivery to senior management. As Head of Highways Electrical, he leads the delivery of complex maintenance, renewal, and improvement programmes across multiple local authority contracts. Having worked throughout Hampshire, Somerset, BCP, Medway, Reading, Slough, Wokingham, Oxford, West Berkshire, Luton, and Bath & North East Somerset, Matthew is passionate about building high-performing teams and delivering practical, innovative solutions that improve safety and reliability on the highway network.
Gavin McKenchnie
Contracts Manager
Gavin has over 25 years’ experience across the highways, electrical infrastructure and utilities sectors, with extensive experience in ICP and street lighting. Gavin brings a strong focus on governance, compliance and operational assurance, ensuring robust processes and industry standards are embedded throughout project delivery. His experience spans complex electrical infrastructure projects, audit and assurance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Gavin works closely with clients, delivery teams and supply-chain partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, consistently and to the required standards.
Daniel Miller
Project Manager
Daniel brings over 20 years of experience in the highways and utilities industry, having built his career with VolkerHighways. Starting as an Electrician, he has progressed through the ranks to his current role as ICP Project Manager, developing extensive technical, operational, and project delivery expertise along the way. His hands-on industry knowledge, combined with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, gives him a unique understanding of projects from both a technical and delivery perspective. Known for his collaborative approach and ability to build high-performing teams, Daniel is passionate about delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while consistently exceeding client expectations.
Ryan King
Project Manager
Ryan is a Project Manager with over 20 years of experience in the street lighting and highways industry. A qualified Electrician by trade, he has progressed through the ranks from working on the tools to Supervisor before moving into his current role as Project Manager. Ryan is responsible for managing clients, subcontractors, direct labour, materials, and project budgets, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. He currently leads EV installation projects and is recognised for his practical, solutions-focused approach, strong stakeholder management skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
