VolkerSmart Technologies has an ongoing collaborative relationship with Believ. The business is supporting Believ with the installation and maintenance of on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging points, which are being installed within residential streets with signposted parking bays.
The chargers give those without access to a driveway, the ability to charge their vehicle using an on-street charger, close to their homes.
VolkerSmart Technologies is providing a maintenance service including routine and reactive maintenance, and yearly electrical inspections. This involves cleaning, inspecting and testing the feeder pillars, cleansing and decontaminating the charging cables and testing the power outlet and radiofrequency identification. The yearly tests ensure that the chargers are still safety compliant and certified.
The team is also providing an emergency callout service and is committed to getting the chargers back online within four to 24 hours, depending on the fault.
